All radar detectors attempt to determine if you are passing through an area where the speed of vehicles is being monitored by law enforcement. The SPX 7800BT has no internal battery so it needs to be plugged into the cigarette lighter of your vehicle. It has an extra USB receptacle for you to plug in your cellphone or other accessory that needs charging or constant power frrom your vehicle.
During testing it detected X, K, Ka, VG-2, speed cameras, an approaching ambulance, and signals from the safety alert traffic warning system. It can pick up other traffic enforcement warnings, but they did not occur during testing. Each signal showed up clearly on the unit's screen and also on my cellphone. The Android and Apple apps are free without a yearly subscription.

The way it works is the rooftop antenna collects the weak cellular signal and adds enough gain to get it to the Sleek 4G cradle booster. The cradle passes on this stronger cellular signal to your phone.

To boost your signal in a weak area you place the DAP-1320 near the area where your Wi-Fi signal is weak. It simply receives your protected signal from your Wi-Fi wireless router, boosts it, and then retransmits it further into the area where your signal was previously too weak to be effective.
Since it is wireless, it only needs you to plug it directly into any standard electrical outlet. The last step is to give it access to your protected network so it can start to boost and retransmit your Wi-Fi signal.
